MX Player has announced a new adaptation of the mythological epic Ramayan titled ‘Ramyug’. The web series is helmed by Kunal Kohli.
The announcement clip shows glimpses of mythical weapons, like Hanuman’s Mace (Gada) and Ram’s bow and arrow. The series will be led by fresh faces playing Ram and Sita.
It also includes a rendition of the Hanuman Chalisa, sung by Amitabh Bachchan. It has been composed by Rahul sharma.
Although originally planned to be created as a film, Ramyug has now been switched to a web series. More details are yet to be revealed.
