‘Mumbai Saga’ now streaming on Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has announced that the action thriller ‘Mumbai Saga’ will be streaming on the platform from 27 April. The film found its theatre release in March, but with its online release, the creators await a worldwide reception.

With John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi in the lead, the film also stars Mahesh Manjrekar, Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Rohit Roy, Amole Gupte, Samir Soni, Gulshan Grover, and Anjana Sukhani.

Set in the gangster afflicted 1990s Mumbai, ‘Mumbai Saga’ explores the various dynamics that arise between police inspector Vijay Sawarkar (Emraan Hashmi) and the big-shot Amartya Rao (John Abraham). The film walks over the political turmoil and events that occurred in the process of Bombay being renamed ‘Mumbai’.

About the global release, John Abraham said: “The movie released in cinema halls this March and I am delighted with the response from fans who watched the movie. Mumbai Saga will now premiere on Amazon Prime Video and this feeling of sharing our hard work across the world is amazing.”

Director Sanjay Gupta said: “Mumbai Saga is a completely new and refreshing take on an action drama that brings John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi on the screen for the very first time and present them in never-seen-before avatars.”

“The nail-biting action sequences, a cop vs goon chase and Amazon Prime Video’s reach in over 240 countries and territories make the digital premiere of Mumbai Saga even more special,” added producer Bhushan Kumar.
