Mortal Kombat set to stream on Prime Video in India

Mortal Kombat, which was released in theatres earlier this year, is now set to premiere on Prime Video in India.

The film got a simultaneous release on HBO Max for US viewers, however, the streaming platform isn’t available worldwide, leaving fans biding their time.

The official synopsis of the film states: “Hunted by the fearsome warrior Sub-Zero, MMA fighter Cole Young finds sanctuary at the temple of Lord Raiden. Training with experienced fighters Liu Kang, Kung Lao and the rogue mercenary Kano, Cole prepares to stand with Earth’s greatest champions to take on the enemies from Outworld in a high-stakes battle for the universe.”

Mortal Kombat is directed by Simon McQuoid and written by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham. The cast includes Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Joe Taslim, Mehcad Brooks, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobo Asano and Chin Han.

This film also serves as a reboot of the original Mortal Kombat film series, which was released in the 90s.
