The global phenomenon that is ‘Money Heist’ has taken India by storm throughout its 5 season run. The public has gone into a frenzy with the release of the final episodes of the series. It even found its way to a 2-page spread on Hindustan times.
The series has caused a furore in the country ever since its release back in 2017 and according to the Netflix Top 10 website, season 1 is one of the most-watched TV series in India, spending 22 weeks in the top 10.
With the rising popularity of Money Heist, several notable Indian personalities such as Anil Kapoor, Rana Daggubati, Hardik Pandya and Radhika Apte got together and starred in a fan anthem titled ‘Jaldi Aao’ composed by musician, Nucleya.
Ayushmann Khurrana also starred in a promotional video shared by Netflix India’s YouTube channel singing about how he’s one of the biggest fans of the series to the tune of ‘Bella Ciao’, the Spanish song that has become synonymous with Money Heist.
Popular Indian YouTuber, Bhuvan Bham, visited Spain to attend the official premiere of the finale where he interacted with many of the cast members and even posted candid pictures along with them with many fans expressing their envy towards him.
Following the long awaited conclusion to the series, another video was posted with a few cast members including Alvaro Morte and Pedro Alonso thanked the Indian public for their tremendous response.
