Netflix has announced the release date of the second season of its teenage drama ‘Mismatched’. The show featuring Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf in the lead will return on October 14.
This coming-of-age drama is an adaptation of Sandhya Menon’s 2017 novel, ‘When Dimple Met Rishi’. The plot revolves around Rishi (Saraf), an old school and traditional romantic who falls head-over-heels for Dimple (Koli), an ambitious gamer who is not quite a romance aficionado.
The first season of ‘Mismatched’ ended on a tense note where the leading duo had a major falling out. Dimple’s app — which she had been working on with Rishi — got leaked and the truth about Rishi’s best friend’s sexuality — which only Dimple knew about — came out in the open.

‘Mismatched’ also stars Rannvijay Singha, Vidya Malvade, Trishna Singh, Vihaan Samat, Vaibhav Palhade, Taaruk Raina, Devyani Shorey, Muskkaan Jaferi, Kritika Bharadwaj, and Abhinav Sharma, among others.
The new season will also see the addition of Priya Banerjee, Ahsaas Channa and Sanjana Sarathy.
It has been adapted for the screen by Gazal Dhaliwal.
