Amazon Prime Video has finally decided to answer Mirzapur fans’ one burning question, “When is Mirzapur season 2 coming out?” The date is set: 23 October, 2020.
The date announcement includes a voiceover by Ali Fazal’s character Guddu Pandit, who explains that there are three types of people: alive, dead and wounded, with characters from season 1 shown in the clip.
He then says that everything was taken from him, but he was left alive, proclaiming this to be a mistake. Revenge looks imminent.
Fazal is referring to how his brother Bablu Pandit and wife Sweety are killed by Munna Tripathi during season 1 climax.
The platform has been teasing fans for a while with sneak peeks and first looks. However, the second season faced delay due to the lockdown halting production.
The fans resumed their excitement when the cast revealed that the dubbing process had started, with a release date around the corner. The wait is finally over.
