All three played major roles in season 1 and look set to be a crucial part of the next one.

The web series, which first came out in late 2018, has built somewhat of a cult following. Fans regularly swarm social media posts of the platform asking when the second season will be available for streaming.

Mirzapur gave the viewers a sneak peek back in November 2019 and Divyenndu shared the first look of his character at the start of this year. However, the COVID-19 pandemic seemed to have slowed down the progress.

This latest development will excite the fans who had been eagerly awaiting any sort of update.

Talking about his character, Ali Fazal, who played one of the leads in season 1, said earlier in a statement:

“There is a lot more in the new season. The stakes are much higher. My character is very different. It was a bit frustrating playing it this time.”

The platform still hasn’t revealed an exact release date. Watch this space for more updates.
