Amazon India launched a new feature on its shopping app called ‘MiniTV’. It allows users to stream content free of cost directly from the Amazon app.
The ad-supported video streaming service that is available on the shopping app is absolutely free of cost. The feature is only available for users in India, currently.
MiniTV offers to its users web-series, comedy shows, and content around tech news, food, beauty, and fashion.
At the moment, most MiniTV’s catalog is old-content which includes titles produced by TVF and Pocket Aces, along with original content from creators such as Ashish Chanchlani, Amit Bhadana, Round2Hell, Harsh Beniwal, Shruti Arjun Anand, Elvish Yadav, Prajakta Koli, Swagger Sharma, Aakash Gupta and Nishant Tanwar.
Most of the content coming from these creators is old or has been created for some other platform. Amazon has promised that more original content will follow soon.
The company mentioned that “Viewers will be informed on latest products and trends by tech expert Trakin Tech, fashion and beauty experts such as Sejal Kumar, Malvika Sitlani, Jovita George, Prerna Chhabra and ShivShakti. Food lovers can enjoy content from Kabita’s Kitchen, Cook with Nisha, and Gobble. In the coming months, MiniTV will add many more new and exclusive videos”.
The feature is currently available only on android but will be soon rolled out for iOS users and also for mobile web.
