Midnight Mass on Netflix: ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ creators bring new series

Netflix released the official teaser trailer for its upcoming supernatural web series from the producers of ‘The Haunting of Hill House’, ‘Midnight Mass’. It is set to premiere on the streamer on September 24.

Mike Flanagan, creator of the 2018 show, returns for the seven-episode web series.

Starring Rahul Kohli, Zach Gilford, and Hamish Linklater the first teaser follows a similar horror aesthetic.

Annabeth Gish, Michael Trucco, Samantha Sloyan, Henry Thomas, Rahul Abburi, Crystal Balint, Matt Biedel, Alex Essoe, Rahul Kohli, Kristin Lehman, Robert Longstreet, Igby Rigney, and Annarah Shephard are among the secondary cast members.

‘Midnight Mass’ is set on Crockett Island, a remote island village that witnesses supernatural miracles – as well as terrifying omens – after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious new priest. The town experiences a revitalized religious ardour as a result of these happenings, but do these miracles come at a cost?

Flanagan is also working on an adaptation of James Tynion IV’s horror comic “There’s Something Killing the Children”, which was written by Werther Dell’Edera and illustrated by him, as well as “The Midnight Club”, a horror anthology series based on Christopher Pike’s novels about a group of terminally ill teenagers.
