Medical Police trailer: Ready for some cop doctors?

After almost four years since the black comedy series ended, Childrens Hospital is back with a new name. Netflix released the trailer for the upcoming comedy series’ spin-off titled Medical Police.

The new comedy stars the same characters taking in focus Rob Huebel as Dr. Own Maestro and Errin Hayes as Dr. Lola Spratt. The two-minute trailer shows the American doctor duo working as a team in a hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

When a seemingly normal disease turns into a life-threatening virus epidemic, they finds themselves recruited as secret agents by the government. Their task? Race against time to find a cure and uncover the ones responsible for causing it.

Here is the synopsis for the upcoming show:

From the inimitable team behind Childrens HospitalMedical Police follows two American physicians (Erinn Hayes and Rob Huebel) stationed at a paediatric hospital in São Paulo, Brazil who unwittingly discover a civilisation-threatening virus. They’re soon recruited as secret government agents and find themselves in a race against time to find a cure, all the while uncovering a dark conspiracy at the center of the outbreak. Building on the legacy of its predecessor Childrens Hospital, Medical Police triples as an action-packed thriller, a mystery-wrapped love story and, ultimately, a globetrotting comedy series.

However, the two physicians are not the only alums of Childrens Hospital in the new series. David Wain, Rob Corddry, Krister Johnson, and Jonathan Stern; the original creators of the former series are working as writers behind the camera. You will also see Craig Robinson and Jason Schwartzman as guest stars.

The 10 episode series premieres on Netflix on 10 January 2020. So grab your stethoscopes and guns and be ready for a lot of action.
