Masaba Masaba season 2 has been confirmed by the streaming giant Netflix. The second season of the series was announced in the recent slate consisting of 15 original web series by the platform.
Masaba Masaba is a semi-fictional scripted account based on the life of fashion designer turned actor Masaba Gupta. Season one of the web series featured Masaba Gupta and Neena Gupta playing themselves.
Other cast members included Satyadeep Mishra, Neil Bhoopalam, Rytasha Rathore, Smaran Sahu, Nayan Shukla, Suchitra Pillai, Tanuj Virwani, Gobind Singh Mehta and Pooja Bedi.
Season one of the series showed the struggle of the single woman Masaba trying to keep her head above water amidst personal and professional chaos.
The official description for Masaba Masaba season 2 by Netflix reads:
“Glamour ke peeche kya hai? It’s a tough world, but Masaba and Neena Gupta are tougher. The mess is over, and this time the plan is world domination. Masaba goes in front of the camera, and Neena ji decides to go behind them. All the while dealing with new loves, old loves, and some impossible loves. Both women take their careers, image, friendships and lovers, in their own hands and turn everything around.”
The second season of the web series will be directed by Sonam Nair and produced under Viniyard Films.
