Marvel’s ‘Loki’ series to air every Wednesday starting June 9

Marvel Studios has revealed a new airing schedule for the Tom Hiddleston starrer ‘Loki’ web series on Disney+. The show will now premiere on June 9 and air its six episodes every Wednesday instead of Friday.

The update for ‘Loki’ comes in the form of a video shared by the company featuring none other than Tom Hiddleston himself. The footage opens with an epic montage featuring Captain America’s shield, Iron Man’s helmet, and Thor’s Hammer.

It is then cut short by Hiddleston who complains that his character is often left-out in these superhero montages even though he is arguably very heroic, cunning, and charming. He ends the clip by revealing the updated release schedule, stating that “Wednesdays are the new Fridays”.

The reason for this change is unknown and comes as a surprise considering both previous Marvel web series — ‘WandaVision’ and ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ — aired on Disney+ every Friday.

‘Loki’ is the third in line of original shows by Marvel and also stars Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant in important roles. It has been directed by Kate Herron and penned by Michael Waldron.
