Martin Scorsese, Paul Schrader reunite for 3-year web series

Creators of ‘Taxi Driver’ and ‘The Raging Bull’ Martin Scorsese and Paul Schrader are coming back together for a web series. The director-writer pair are collaborating after 22 years for a three-year streaming series.

In an interview with Richard Brody of The New Yorker, Schrader revealed what he is planning with Scorsese and that “it would be a three-year series about origins of Christianity.”

The writer-filmmaker also added that the project is “based on the Apostles and the Apocrypha. It’s called ‘The Apostles and Apocrypha.’ Because people sort of know the New Testament, but nobody knows the Apocrypha.”

Paul Schrader hinted at the web series to be dramatized like ‘The Last Testament of Christ’.
