Mark Boal’s ‘Echo 3’ to premiere on Apple TV+ on November 23

Apple TV+ has confirmed that its upcoming 10-episode action thriller series, ‘Echo 3’ will begin streaming from November 23, 2022. The show stars Luke Evans, Michiel Huisman and Jessica Ann Collins in the lead.

‘Echo 3’ comes from Academy Award winner Mark Boal (‘The Hurt Locker’, ‘Zero Dark Thirty’). It is based on the award-winning series ‘When Heroes Fly’, created by Omri Givon, and inspired by the titular novel by Amir Gutfreund.

The plot is set in South America and revolves around Amber Chesborough (Collins), a gifted scientist who goes missing along the Colombia-Venezuela border.

This forces her brother Bambi (Evans) and husband Prince (Huisman) — two men with intricate pasts and intense military experience — to team up and find her.

The show is set against the backdrop of a secret war and also stars Martina Gusman, James Udom, Maria Del Rosario, Alejandro Furth, Juan Pablo Raba, and Bradley Whitford.

Speaking about ‘Echo 3’, Boal said, “I’m honored to collaborate with the team at AppleTV+ who gave me the opportunity to make the series I wanted to make — one that feels big and purposeful and refuses to stay in any lane. This is a black ops thriller and tale of international intrigue, set in Colombia, a country I had known only from afar and immediately fell in love with.”
