Love Hard: Dating app misadventure on Netflix’s next

Netflix has announced a new romantic comedy called ‘Love Hard’. Although the project is still tightly under wraps, the film will centre on an amusing dating app misadventure.

According to the streaming platform, the story will revolve around a hilarious incident of a dating app mismatch. The film stars Nina Dobrev as the protagonist, who plays an unlucky in love LA girl. However, she falls for an East Coast guy and goes all the way there to surprise him for Christmas.

The funny narrative intensifies when she, upon arrival, realises that she has been catfished. To make it up to her, the guy who duped her agrees to set her up with her fancy (who stays in the same town) if she agrees to pretend to be his girlfriend for the holidays.

Alongside Dobrev, the film also stars Jimmy O. Yang and Charles Melton in the roles of the two guys. ‘Love Hard’ has been directed by Hernán Jiménez, famed for his other works like Elsewhere and About Us. Yang had shot to popularity after his performance in Netflix’s Crazy Rich Asians.

‘Love Hard’ has been written by Danny Mackey and Rebecca Ewing, and will be produced by Wonderland’s McG and Mary Viola. Steven Bello will serve as an Executive Producer for the film.

No date of release has been yet announced for the film.
