Streaming Platform ZEE5 released the official trailer of its latest Tamil action thriller, ‘LockUp’ which is slated to have an OTT release on August 14.
It is written and directed by Murali Karthick and produced by actor Nithin Sathya. The film is deemed to be a murder mystery featuring Vaibhav Reddy, Venkat Prabhu, and Vani Bhojan in lead roles.
Reddy and Prabhu play two policemen in the film. While Vaibhav’s character will be a good, white one, Prabhu’s character will have grey tinges to it. Vani Bhojan will be seen playing Reddy’s love interest in the film.
The synopsis of ‘LockUp’ by ZEE5 reads:
“LockUp is a 2020 ZEE5 Original Tamil crime thriller movie, starring Vaibhav, Venkat Prabhu, Vani Bhojan, and Poorna. After Vasanth takes the help of Moorthy, a senior officer, to get a promotion at work, Moorthy takes advantage of the situation and traps Vasanth in all his illegal activity. But, when Moorthy unexpectedly dies, Vasanth realises that there’s someone else involved in the whole situation. Can Vasanth crack this complex case and come out clean?”
The film also stars names like Poorna (who plays the role of a mother to a teenager), Abhirami Iyer, Kalaiyarasan, Vatsan Chakravarthy and Karunakaran.
