Disney+ Hotstar released the trailer for an upcoming horror web series ‘Live Telecast’ on Friday. The Kajal Aggarwal starrer will stream on the digital platform from February 12.
The official trailer has been released in Tamil and Telugu, and the show will be dubbed into Hindi and Marathi among other languages.
Aggarwal will play a TV-director in the web series, which is to be her debut in the OTT space. She has successfully worked in the Telugu, Tamil and Hindi film industries, and her notable films include ‘Singham’, ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Mersal’.
The actress has stated that this web-series has pushed her beyond her comfort zone. Other actors featured in the show include Daniel Annie Pope, Subbu Panchu Arunachalam, Vaibhav Reddy and Kayal Anandhi.
As indicated by the trailer, ‘Live Telecast’ will be about a team of media correspondents from the television channel NAM TV, who plan to telecast a fabricated show claiming to display actual ghosts. To their surprise however, the mansion chosen for their venture, is a haunted one.
Director Venkat Prabhu who is known for the films ‘Chennai 600028’, ‘Saroja’ and ‘Biriyani’, has stated that this series was his “dream project”. Prabhu will also be making his debut on the digital platform with this web series.
