Lionsgate brings La La Land, The Hunger Games for free streaming on YouTube

Global entertainment company Lionsgate as partnered with other companies to stream movies like La La Land and The Hunger Games for free on YouTube.

In addition to the above two movies, Dirty Dancing and John Wick will also be released as part of the Lionsgate Live! A Night at the Movies program. Eddie the Eagle and Bend it Like Beckham will also be available in the month of May for audiences in the UK.

All movies will be available to stream on Friday/Saturday nights depending on the user’s region.

The fan participation event will be hosted by Jamie Lee Curtis. He will be joined by “special guest celebrities and YouTube personalities”.

All movies will be available to stream on Lionsgate’s YouTube page and Fandango’s Movieclips YouTube page.

The screenings will allow participants to make donations to the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation (USA), NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal (UK) and The Film and TV Charity COVID-19 Emergency Response (UK).

The Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation is currently helping creatives and other workers that are affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

The event’s official description reads as follows:

Most importantly, audiences everywhere will have the chance to join Lionsgate in showing support for the country’s temporarily jobless movie theater employees and how much we all appreciate and miss them. Lionsgate’s initial donation as well as the audience and partner donations throughout this event will benefit the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation!
