Netflix India is on a roll. The OTT platform is ready to release an hour-long comedy fest titled Ladies Up featuring four female Indian comedians.
The service announced the news on Twitter with the caption, “4 hilarious women walk into a Netflix special… Ladies Up, coming 27th March.”
Ladies Up will include well-known comedians Kaneez Surka, Niveditha Prakasam, Supriya Joshi, and Prashasti Singh.
In the stand-up special, the four ladies “will take you on their personal adventures and misadventures while recounting some of their favourite moments and tips on how to be a complete boss.”
Keeping the line-up in mind, the show promises to be funny as well as relevant. Surka is popular for her improv skills and has been a part of many viral sketches on YouTube. You would remember Singh and Joshi from Amazon Prime Video’s Comicstaan. Prakasam featured in Queens of Comedy aired on TLC.
The four ladies signed a deal with Netflix in October last year along with various Indian comedians like Vir Das and Amit Tandon.
March will be a busy month for Netflix watchers with several originals slated to release including rom-com Maska and Imtiaz Ali’s She.
Ladies Up will release on 27 March 2020.
