Kriti Sanon’s upcoming film ‘Mimi’ will stream on Netflix from July 30, the platform has confirmed.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Kriti Sanon is reportedly set to play the role of a dancer aspiring to be an actress who ends up as a surrogate mother in this family entertainer.
The actress was earlier quoted on her views about the movie, saying: “It’s not preachy or serious. It’s not like you are going to watch a film on surrogacy and it’s going to be a documentary film. It’s a very entertaining film, filled with humour, and a lot of ups and downs. There’s a beautiful graph of the woman I am playing, Mimi, where she wants to be an actress.”
Mimi also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak in key roles.
The film was originally slated for a theatrical release, but due to the lockdown across the country, the film will release digitally.
