“Game of Thrones means my 20s, it’s a decade of my life”: Kit Harington gets nostalgic a day before the final season

Facebook Watch released the latest episode of Game of Thrones’ ‘The Cast Remembers’ featuring Kit Harington who plays the beloved Jon Snow in the show.

Throughout the video, Harington describes his journey of nearly a decade that he spent shooting the series. He describes the show as the “pinnacle and the forefront of what drama should be”.

He recalls his favourite location-Iceland- which was featured for the first time in the first episode of season two. Harington admits his favourite actor to work with was Rose Leslie (the actor’s real life wife), who plays his love interest in the show, Ygritte. He comments on their amazing chemistry and her talent as an actress by calling her “one of the best actors” he has worked with.

When it came to explaining the untimely death of his character in the show, Harington reveals that every actor gets a courtesy call from David Benioff and Dan B. Weiss when their character is scheduled to be killed off. However, Harrington did not receive this call which gave him the idea that something was being hidden under the wraps until he was told: “Yeah, you’re not dead.”

The actor finally ends the video by talking about the “amazing family” that the shows cast and crew have become for the last few years. He explains the unexpected positive chemistry and support that runs on set within the members.

Commenting on the final season and the ending of the show, Harington confesses: “It’s affecting me much deeper than I thought it would”.
