Kangaroo Valley is an upcoming documentary film about a young kangaroo named Mala and her journey of survival in Australia’s secret valley.
Kangaroo Valley is set to premiere on Netflix on December 14.
“Kangaroo Valley is the coming-of-age story of a young kangaroo joey called Mala, learning what it takes to survive her incredible first year. The odds are not in her favor: only one in five joeys make it to their first birthday. Mala’s greatest enemy is the dingo pack that stalks her family. Among them is the young dingo, Miro, who turns out to be her greatest mentor.”
Kylie Stott, the documentary’s director, has a track record of producing internationally acclaimed documentaries such as David Attenborough’s “Great Barrier Reef” and Stephen Hawking’s “Brave New World”.
Sarah Snook narrates the story of Mala, the youngest joey born into the kangaroo family, with stunning visuals of a secret valley hidden among the wilds of Australia.
Mala’s only hope of survival is her mother’s protection. However, she will soon have to learn everything within a year to survive on her own and embark on the greatest challenge of her life.
