Zee5 has been releasing quality original content lately and they’re back with another series. Titled Judgement Day, the new original is a Bengali thriller which follows the lives of 2 sisters after one of them gets gang raped.
The official synopsis reads: “The story revolves around two sisters from North Bengal, Diya and Hiya. During her visit to Kolkata, Hiya gets raped and her advocate sister Diya takes it upon herself to punish the culprits.”
The plot seems to be a fight for justice and revenge. The recently released teaser is gritty and bloody. It teases the dark underbelly of crime and rape in India and has all the necessary aspects to make such a story an interesting watch.
Judgement Day is another addition to Zee5’s ever-growing library of intense thrillers along the likes of Karkat Rogue and The Chargesheet.
It stars Sohini Sarkar, Madhumita Sarcar, Abhishek Singh and Arpan Ghoshal and will premier on Zee5 on 5 February 2020.
