John Krasinski features The Office co-actor Steve Carell on ‘Some Good News’

John Krasinski interviewed his reel life boss Steve Carell for the first official episode of his new YouTube channel and series – Some Good News.

The Jack Ryan star started this series to spread good news around the world as everyone fights bravely against the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both Krasinski and Carell shared screen space in the much-loved show The Office. While Krasinski played the prankster employee Jim Halpert, Carell played the misfit boss of their paper company – Dunder Mifflin.

Krasinski decided to video call Carell to mark the 15th anniversary of their show.

He revealed that he was a 23-year-old waiter when he first auditioned for the role of Jim Halpert and did not expect to hear back from the makers.

The actors then discussed some of their favourite moments from the show and how difficult it was for both of them to shoot one of their last scenes together.

Recalling his days with The Office, Carell remarked:

“Some of my most fond memories – personally or professionally – are twined and connected with that show”.

Krasinski also included other good news from around the world and delivered it in his very own sarcastic and quirky way. He even has a sign behind him that reads “SGN”.

When Carell acknowledged it, Krasinski responded: “Thank you very much, my daughters did it by the way.”

This episode of Some Good News included the appreciation healthcare workers received across the world, families and loved ones sharing special moments together in this trying times and another video interview with a special guest – Coco.

Krasinski revealed that Coco was a 15-year-old girl from California who beat cancer by attending her last chemo treatment.

He then showcased the grand welcome she received from her friends as they still maintained social distancing.

The episode ends with Krasinski admitting to Coco being his “newest hero” and him hilariously revealing the pyjamas he was wearing under his suit.
