Jogi will be released on Netflix on September 16.

The lead actor, Diljit Dosanjh, is primarily a singer but has also previously acted in works like Udta Punjab and Good Newwz.

Trailer

The film is based around the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, and highlights the characters’ fight for survival as sudden violence erupts across Delhi after the assassination of Indira Gandhi.

One of Jogi’s friends tells him to relocate to Punjab with his family to stay safe amidst the riots, and the following scenes showcase their attempts to make it to safety.
