After a revamp which saw SonyLIV coming out with web series such as Your Honor, Undekhi and Avrodh, the platform is now set to launch its next “edge-of-the-seat thriller” titled ‘JL50’. The release date is September 4.
JL50 revolves around a mysterious plane crash in West Bengal, which takes place 35 years after it originally took off. Was it time travel?
A bold attempt at the genre, the stellar cast includes the likes of Abhay Deol, Pankaj Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, Rajesh Sharma and Ritika Anand.
As the trailer begins, we see the plane losing control and the last recording from the cockpit dating back 35 years. Due to the cockpit detaching from the plane, two surviors come forth, including the pilot of JL50.
Deol’s character refuses to believe the incident to be real, rigorously searching for answers, while Kapur’s character is convinced of time travel. Who will turn out to be right?
