Netflix confirmed the release of the upcoming Indian web series, Choona, on the streamer. Starring Jimmy Sheirgill in the lead, the OTT giant further confirmed the cast line-up for the show.
Directed by Pushpendra Nath Misra, ‘Choona’ is a crime-drama web series that marks the filmmaker’s foray into the long-form series format.
‘Choona’ cast includes other known actors such as Gyanendra Tripathi, Monika Panwar, Namit Das, Atul Srivastava among others.
The web series is set to be a heist comedy in which an unlikely group of people group together to take down a mutual enemy- a corrupt politician who has wronged them.
Netflix India has formally announced the forthcoming project and revealed one of the first-look posters. The poster features Sheirgill and the rest of the cast members, who have a solemn expression, giving off a serious vibe.
The web series is set to release in the second half of this year.
