Jennifer Aniston optimistic about HBO Max’s ‘Friends’ Reunion episode

Although the shooting of HBO Max’s Friends reunion special has been halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, Jennifer Aniston, who received worldwide acclaim for playing Rachel Green on the show, perceives the situation as “glass-half-full”.

Following the announcement of halting the shoot for the special episode, Aniston has remained remarkably optimistic. According to her, this pandemic has created a better opportunity for the cast and crew to make said episode even more exciting and fun.

After months of speculations and excitement, Friends fans across the globe were excited for the the HBO Max special reunion episode. However, due to the outbreak, and its spread in California, the show-makers and the cast had to stall the production for some safer time in the near future.

Not only the production team, Aniston also shared her concerns about the live viewers who are to be present at the taping studio. Considering social distancing norms and difficulty to accomodate all of them in accordance to it, she said that it is not a good time to start shooting in front of live audiences.

However, in this context, she also added that she along with her co-stars on the show, Courteney Cox (Monica Geller-Bing), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Mathew Perry (Chandler Bing) and Matt Le’Blanc (Joey Tribbiani) are all looking forward to a safer time in the future when they can get back to it (shooting).

In April, the cast of the world favourite and popular sitcom took to their social media handles to confirm the news that was doing the rounds on the internet regarding the reunion episode. However, scheduled to start in late summer of 2020, and now further being postponed, the news had saddened some of the sitcom’s ardent fans.

For the disappointed fans, Aniston assured that neither the cast, the crew nor the original is going anywhere. Addressing the fans, she added in humour that they will never get tired of Friends, and also that they are stuck with them (the cast) for life.
