Tamil actor, Jayam Ravi’s 25th film, ‘Bhoomi’ is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar. It will premiere on Pongal day, January 14.
Ravi plays the role of a NASA scientist, Bhoominathan aka Bhoomi, who changes careers to pursue his interest in farming. However, when politicians and corporates start to make life difficult for their community, he acts as the leader of these marginalized groups and charges into a revolt. The film showcases the sacrifices and plights of farmers in India.
‘Bhoomi’ was previously planned for a theatrical release but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it shifted platforms.

The film has been written and directed by Lakshman. It also features Nidhhi Agerwal, along with Sakshi Dwivedi, Ronit Roy, and Saranya Ponvannan. The soundtrack has been composed by the renowned music director, D. Imman.
