Netflix has announced the release date for the second season of its crime series ‘Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega’. The show will premiere on September 23.
The narrative follows a group of school drop-outs who run a phishing network from the titular town in Jharkhand. However, their world turns upside down when this profitable scam sees an increasing involvement of the police and local politicians.
The streamer released a short announcement video that showcases multiple phones ringing across the country and then switches to depict a shot of a banyan tree with numerous phones hanging from its branches.
The first season of ‘Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega’ featured Sparsh Shrivastav, Anshumaan Pushkar, Monika Panwar, Amit Sial, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Aksha Pardhasany, among others. The second instalment will also star Ravi Chahal and Seema Pahwa.
‘Jamtara’ has been directed by Soumendra Padhi and written by Trishant Srivastava. It is produced by Viacom18 Studios’ Tipping Point.
