Khaali Peeli, the romantic action film starring Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday, is all set to release on ZEE5 as well on November 6, 2020.
About a month ago, ZEE Studios released the trailer of the film, announcing that it will premiere on October 2, 2020. It was released on ZEEPLEX, a premium movie-on-demand service.
The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Zakir Hussain, Satish Kaushik, Swanand Kirkire, and Anup Soni.
The story of Khaali Peeli revolves around childhood friends, Pooja (played by Panday) and Blackie (played by Khatter), who got separated. Years later, Pooja bumps into Blackie, now a taxi driver, when she is running away after stealing a bag full of money.
This incident sets off a chain reaction where some goons are chasing after Pooja, while the former have cops on their tail. At the same time, it is also a story about how Pooja and Blackie discover their past connection, and their willingness to help each other through their present situation.
The film will now be released on ZEE5 as well. The streaming platform has a larger subscriber base through which the film will reach more than 190 countries.
About the film releasing on ZEE5, Panday shared: “It’s an early Diwali treat for the fans and I hope they sit back, relax, and enjoy the film with their family, in the comfort of their homes.”
Meanwhile, Khatter, who was last seen in A Suitable Boy, said: “Khaali Peeli is an out-an-out entertainer and I’m glad it is going to be available to more people through this release. It was a blast to make this film and the energy has translated on screen.”
