‘Is Love Enough? Sir’ set to release on Netflix

Gan Foundation Award winner film Is Love Enough? Sir will be streaming on Netflix from 9 January. The film was originally premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2018.

Rohena Gera directorial debut film Sir was earlier expected to release in March 2019. However, the pandemic hit and the scheduled release was cancelled. The film was finally released in theatres in November 2020 after releasing in 25 countries.

The film stars Tillotama Shome, Vivek Gomber, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Ahmareen Anjum, and Rahul Vohra. 

The story follows the blooming romance between a widowed domestic help, Ratna (Tillotama Shome) and her employer Ashwin (Vivek Gomber), who has just returned from the U.S after calling off his engagement.

Gera was elated to announce her independent project’s Netflix release on her Twitter account. 

The official Netflix description of the movie reads:

“A young widow is hired as the domestic for a wealthy architect, but social divide comes to fore as an unlikely attraction grows between them.”
