Invincible on Amazon Prime Video: Animated superhero series

Amazon Prime Video released the full trailer of Invincible which is set to premiere on the platform on March 26. The father-son duo in the series is voiced by J.K. Simmons and Steven Yeun.

The hour-long animated series features the voice cast of Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Zachary Quinto, Mahershala Ali, and more in addition to Simmons and Yeun.

The series comes from the creator of ‘The Walking Dead’, Robert Kirkman. It is based on the comic of the same title by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. Invincible is also Kirkman’s second-longest comic-book series which ran for 15 years and concluded in February 2018.

The streaming giant will release the first three episodes on March 26, and new episodes will air every Friday thereafter.

The official synopsis of Invincible reads:

“INVINCIBLE is an Amazon Original series based on the groundbreaking comic book from Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead. The story revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons).”
