Netflix released the official teaser for its upcoming second instalment of the Belgian web series, ‘Into the Night’. It is set to premiere on the streamer on September 8.
Into The Night, Netflix’s first Belgian original series, is a dystopian thriller web series that follows a group of survivors on board a plane as they desperately try to dodge the sun by flying west.
It is based on Jacek Dukaj’s Polish science fiction novel ‘The Old Axolotl’.
Season one introduced viewers to the several survivors aboard a commercial flight as they attempted to beat the clock and avert the approaching apocalypse brought on by the sun.
The survivors find their way to the bunker near the end of the first season, where they could seek protection from the sun’s lethal rays.
The two groups of remaining survivors are welcomed with excellent news after safely entering the bunker. The commanding commander informs Sylvie that there is a solution to the sun problem.
Season 1 closes with a new ray of hope for the survivors of the impending catastrophe, picked up in Season 2.
The cast includes Pauline Etienne as Sylvie Bridgette Dubois, Jan Bijvoet as Richard “Rik” Mertens, and Mehmet Kurtulus as Ayaz Kobanbay.
