‘Into the Beat’ follows ballerina’s discovery of hip-hop

Netflix has released the trailer of German movie ‘Into the Beat’. It will premiere on the streaming platform on April 16.

The clip showcases how a young teenage girl, who is studying the art of ballet, discovers hip-hop as a dance form and falls in love with it. To pursue this, she has to deal with a lot of hurdles, family pressure but she has a friend to lean on who has faith in her.

The official description of the movie on Netflix reads:

“A teen ballerina discovers hip-hop by chance and is faced with an impossible choice: Does she follow her parents’ footsteps… or her newfound passion?”

The movie is directed by Stefan Westerwelle and written by Hannah Schweier, Stefan Westerwelle. It stars Alexandra Pfeifer, Yalany Marschner, Ina Geraldine Guy, among others.

The movie is originally in German but English dub and subtitles are available.
