Amazon Prime Video has announced that its original sports drama ‘Inside Edge season 3′ will premiere soon on the platform. As per its poster release, the third instalment of this web series, based around the game of cricket, will return with ‘more cricket, drama and entertainment’.
‘Inside Edge’ explores the fortunes of a T20 cricket franchise team, Mumbai Mavericks, and its owner, Zarina Malik’s struggles to make a mark in the cricket business as instances of match-fixing and illegal-betting become rampant.
‘Inside Edge’ season 3 will pick up from where it left in season 2 on a nail-biting cliffhanger exposing how excessive or insatiable desire for wealth and fame drives people to their downfall.
It sure seemed part of a plan to keep the fans hooked and wondering what a two-year ban on Mumbai Mavericks from PPL, detention of suspect Mantra Patil (Sapna Pabbi), and a possible alliance between Zarina Malik (Richa Chadha) and Vikrant Dhawan (Vivek Oberoi) would mean for the series.
Stars like Chadha, Oberoi, Pabbi, Sayani Gupta and Tanuj Virwani are set to reprise their roles in ‘Inside Edge’ season 3, among others.
The new faces in pivotal roles include, Khatija Iqbal who plays a mysterious hacker, besides Aamir Bashir, Amit Sial, Akshay Oberoi, and Sidhant Gupta.
Kanishk Varma will be at the helm of ‘Inside Edge’ season 3, with creator Karan Anshuman and producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
Amazon Prime Video hasn’t given any air about its release date yet.
