Netflix India welcomes a seemingly new type of series under its folds with the trailer for a new series titled “Leila”.
Looking at the trailer, the series looks to be set in a dystopian society, somewhere in the new age possibly decades in the future.
The story is based in a universe where purity is absolute law and mixed race is completely outlawed.
We will follow a woman’s journey as she traverses this deeply orthodox society in a struggle to find her mixed race daughter.
The woman is being played by popular Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, who makes her digital debut with the series
You might know from her previous roles in The Gangs of Wasseypur saga and Badlapur.
The series is set to premiere on 14th June. Check out the trailer
