Details revealed for GoT prequel ‘House of the Dragon’

HBO has announced that the filming of Game of Thrones prequel ‘House of the Dragon’ will commence in April. It will be based on the 2018 fantasy novel Fire & Blood written by George R. R. Martin, who is also the writer of Game of Thrones book series.

The story will take off from 300 years before the timeline of Game of Thrones. It will reveal the origins of the House of Targaryen. Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons in the Game of Thrones series, belonged to the same house.

The Targaryen family had escaped to the Seven Kingdoms, where they established the Dragonstone castle.

Ryan Condal and Martin will be the creators of ‘House of the Dragon’. Miguel Sapochnik and Condal will be the showrunners.

The success of Game of Thrones has given it classic status. The ‘House of the Dragon’ will be filled with surprises and a revitalizing experience for fans.

The series will star Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith and Steve Toussaint. HBO chief Casey Bloys stated about the actors: “They’re prepping. They start shooting in April.”
