House Arrest: Netflix’s unique comedic tale

Netflix India has released the trailer for their upcoming comedy movie House Arrest, starring Ali Fazal in the lead.

The movie reunites the popular duo from Amazon Prime India’s hit show Mirzapur – Shriya Pilgaonkar and Ali Fazal, where they played the lovable duo Guddu and Sweety.

The duo plays the role of Saira (Pilgaonkar), a journalist, and Karan (Fazal), a man who stays on a voluntary house arrest. Jim Sarbh plays the role of JD, Fazal’s best friend.

The trailer shows Sarbh encouraging Fazal to leave the house for other activities. He invites Saira to the house to interview Karan.

Saira is fascinated by Karan’s lifestyle and tries to continue her interview outdoors. However, Karan decides otherwise and lets her experience his daily activities with him.

The Netflix Original also stars Barkha Singh as Pinky, who is known for her work in the web space as Tejaswini a.k.a. Sabu in The Timeliners’ Engineering Girls and her videos with Dice Media and FilterCopy.

Likewise, Sarbh is also known for his role as Adil Khanna in Amazon Prime India’s Made in Heaven (MIH).

House Arrest revolves around Pinky delivering a crucial package at Karan’s house for him to look after. However, things get twisted as a dead body falls out of the suitcase she handed.

The movie is directed by Samit Basu and Shashanka Ghosh. It is produced by Trilok Malhotra and KR Harish of India Stories Media and Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Earlier this month, Netflix India dropped a comical teaser for the movie.

House Arrest is all set to premiere on Netflix India on November 15.
