Hotel Mumbai, the 2018 Indian-Australian-American co-produced thriller drama based on the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, is now available to stream in India via Zee5.
Zee5 uploaded a breakdown trailer for the film on its YouTube channel to make the announcement. The film is loosely based off of the 2008 Mumbai terror attack at the city’s luxurious Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and inspired by a 2009 documentary about the same.
Hotel Mumbai is a hard-hitting story of how a lion-hearted chef and his loyal kitchen staff risked their lives to protect the guests at a popular 5-star hotel in Mumbai – 34 unsung heroes saving 1600 lives at stake.
Starring Dev Patel, Armie Hammer, Nazanin Boniadi, Anupam Kher, Vipin Sharma, Jason Isaacs, Suhail Nayyar, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Natasha Liu-Bordizzo and Nagesh Bhosle, the critically-acclaimed film holds an approval rating of 76% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.6 rating on IMDb.
Its depiction of real-life horror will strike some as exploitative, but Hotel Mumbai remains a well-made dramatization of tragic events.
