Horror film ‘Run Rabbit Run’ acquired by Netflix

Netflix has acquired the rights to stream the upcoming horror film Run Rabbit Run worldwide – except Benelux, Portugal, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Latin America, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Nordics and Taiwan.

The official synopsis reads: “Sarah Snook plays a fertility doctor who believes firmly in life and death, but after noticing the strange behaviour of her young daughter, must challenge her own values and confront a ghost from her past.”

The cast includes Sarah Snook (Succession, The Beautiful Lie), Lily LaTorre, Damon Herriman (Thai Cave Rescue, The Serpent, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and Greta Scacchi (Darby & Joan, The Shepherd).

Raina Reid is the director, and Hannah Kent is the writer. Sarah Shaw and Anna McLeish are producing the film.

The executive producers include Nate Bolotin, Maxime Cottray, Nick Spicer and Aram Tertzakian of XYZ Films, Deanne Weir, Olivia Humphrey, Jack Christian, D.J. McPherson, Daina Reid, Sarah Snook, Jake Carter and Katie Anderson.

Run Rabbit Run has been shot in different locations in Australia: Melbourne, regional Victoria and South Australia’s Riverland region, joining the platform’s slate of shows created in the country.
