Netflix has released the teaser for Hilary Swank led original Away which is all set to release on September 4.
The official description of the show is as follows:
In the near future, a crewed spacecraft is sent to Mars. For this high-stakes mission, a team of elite astronauts are assembled from around the globe. They hail from the United States, Russia, China, India, and Great Britain.
If all goes well, they will be away from the place they call home and the people they love for three years. During this time, their relationships both on Earth and in space will be tested, as they struggle to stay alive and stay on track in pursuit of humanity’s most important goal. The world will be watching.
The cast of Away also includes Josh Charles and Talitha Bateman who play Swank’s husband and daughter in the web series. Swank plays the role of American astronaut Emma Green.
The streaming giant took to Twitter to share first looks of Away:
The thrilling drama revolves around the crew’s journey into space and “their personal dynamics and the effects of being away from their loved ones back on Earth become increasingly complex.”
Netflix has announced a string of new originals lately including Enola Holmes, Down to Earth, The Old Guard and DeadEndia amongst others.
