HBO Max to air ‘Friends: The Reunion’ on May 27

HBO Max has released the official teaser for ‘Friends: The Reunion’. The special, as the title suggests, is set to reunite the original cast after 17 years and will air on May 27.

The beloved sitcom that ran for 10 seasons from 1994 – 2004 is still a household name across the globe and has an audience across all age groups.

The recently released 40 second clip sees the cast — David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Courtney Cox, and Matt LeBlanc — walking away from the camera in the WB Studio lot in Burbank, California, with a slow version of the iconic theme song, I’ll Be There For You by The Rembrandts, playing in the background.

The teaser then reveals the name of the episode — The One Where They Get Back Together — Highlighting the same format in which all ‘Friends’ episodes have been previously named.

The platform also revealed a huge list of special guests that will be a part of this reunion. The names include David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon, and Malala Yousafzai.

Friends: The Reunion has been produced under the banner of Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, along with Warner Horizon, Fulwell 73 Productions and Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions.

The release on May 27 also marks the one year anniversary of HBO Max.
