Netflix has dropped a teaser for its upcoming original fim, ‘Haseen Dilruba’, that will stream on the platform on July 2. The thriller headlined by Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, and Harshvardhan Rane is a murder mystery that explores the dynamics of a married relationship marred by obsession and deception.
Pannu plays a wife under investigation for her husband’s (Massey) murder. As the details of their twisted married relationship unfurl, the mystery surrounding the murder deepens and clouds the reality further.
Going by the teaser, ‘Haseen Dilruba’ will illustrate the three shades of love — lust, obsession, and deceit — through the dynamics between its main protagonists.
We get a fleeting glimpse into their murky lives, possessed and steered by passion through unpredictable and suspenseful turn of events that tease a conspiracy, but stop short of giving away the plot.
The high octane teaser shows Pannu getting off a train and throwing herself into the middle of quick flitting action with scenes depicting intensely violent emotions.
Kanika Dhillon of ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ and ‘Manmarziyaan’ fame has written the edgy script of ‘Haseen Dilruba”.
The film is directed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under the banner of Colour Yellow Productions, Eros International, and T-Series.
Calling the film “a twisted love story,” Rai stated that with ‘Haseen Dilruba’, they are delving into the murder mystery genre for the first time, hoping that the audience finds it entertaining and engaging.
