‘The Morning Show’ is all set to return with a new season and make it even better. Greta Lee and Ruairi O’Connor will now be seen as two fresh entries in the Apple TV+ series.
While Lee will be seen essaying the role of an online media company leader called Stella Bak, O’Connor will be seen as a YouTube celebrity called Ty Fitzgerald.
Lee was earlier seen in Russian Doll and High Maintenance while O’Connor was seen in The Spanish Princess and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,
After Covid 19 led to a halt, The Morning show had to stall its release for a while. But to everyone’s comfort, this Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon starrer will greet us in the month of November this year. The release date hasn’t been confirmed but it’s a sure relief that it won’t be long before it’s back again.
The Morning Show recently took to their official Instagram handle to share the news with fans.
The web series was an instant hit among people when it came out in November last year. It revolves around morning news and how everyone who is part of it gets affected. With this premise, the show represents issues such as sexism at the workplace and the evident difference between the professional treatment of men and women. It has Alex Levy (Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon) at the centre stage, as they casually showcase important social perspectives.
Recently, Steve Carell’s return to the upcoming season was also confirmed by Apple. He will be back for the series’ upcoming second season, reprising the role of disgraced host Mitch Kessler.
The Morning Show has also earned eight Primetime Emmy Awards overall, along with three Golden Globe nominations, and was nominated for Outstanding New Program by the Television Critics Association this year. The show is dearly loved by its viewers and currently stands at 8.4 IMDb rating.
