Trailer for the MonsterVerse crossover Godzilla vs. Kong has been released by Warner Bros and HBO Max. It will be streaming on the platform for 31 days from March 26, 2021 – the same day as its theatrical release.
Warner Bros and Legendary Entertainment production, Godzilla vs. Kong will star an ensemble cast including Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Alexander Skarsgard, Kyle Chandler, Demian Bichir and Brian Tyree Henry.
The crossover between Godzilla, whose last film was Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Kong whose previous film was Kong: Skull Island, will portray an epic battle the two monsters.
It appears that the grand Godzilla has turned against humanity, in the direction of complete merciless destruction. The reason why the formerly force of justice has turned to evil remains a mystery which only the movie will resolve.
Some fans have inferred from the trailer that the villain is the imposter ‘MechaGodzilla’, who, according to them, will eventually be exposed and battled together by the two legendary monsters.
The trailer shows that Kong has formed an emotional attachment with a young girl called Jia, who is the only person who can summon him to fight the destructive force of Godzilla, or whoever the real villain is.
The movie will be a long-awaited retreat for the fans of the franchise. The trailer’s official tagline reads: ‘Will humanity survive a clash of the titans?”
