Netflix India has released the first trailer for the comedy film, ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’, starring Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey.
The movie follows Sunny (Massey), who gets getting rejected by Ginny (Gautam) during an arranged marriage proposal.
After the rejection, he teams up with Ginny’s mother, a matchmaker, to win her love. Ginny Weds Sunny sets up a tale of love, life, weddings and music. The trailer also features cameos by Badshah and Mika Singh.
The actors talked about their roles in the press-release by Netflix. Gautam said, “It was a blast playing Ginny as she is a headstrong girl, not letting anyone or anything ever let her down.
“While he cooks great dishes in the kitchen, life does not have the perfect recipe in story for Sunny. He wants to get married but the challenge of winning over Ginny is more formidable than he signs up for,” Massey added.
The film is directed by Puneet Khanna, and written by Navjot Gulati and Sumit Arora. Ginny Weds Sunny premiers on October 9 on Netflix.
