Get Duked!: British coming-of-age comedy to release on Prime Video

Originally released in 2019, British teenage comedy ‘Get Duked!’ is all set to arrive on Amazon Prime Video on August 28. Initially named ‘Boyz in the Wood’, the story revolves around four misfit teen boys on the Scottish Highlands.

Three adventurous boys, Dean, Duncan and DJ Beatroot find themselves trekking on the sparse expanses of the Scottish Highlands as they, with their camp instructor, embark on a character-building camping trip. The mischief trio is joined by Ian, a seemingly good boy with no inclination for breaking the rules.

However, when the boys trail off from the prescribed track in anticipation to cut loose, explore and smoke weed, little did they know what was awaiting their fate.

What soon followed was a total comedy-of-errors, with the foursome trying to escape from a bunch of hunting forces who are keen to encounter the boys. With the police falling back behind and the boys’ abysmal yet hilarious attempts to keep their lives intact in front of the savages, the plot of ‘Get Duked!’ flows through hilarious sequences of twists and turns.

This coming-of-age film has been released by Prime Video with a red-band at the starting, signifying that the film contains adult material and is suited for mature audiences. Written and directed by Ninian Doff, the film features names like Rian Gordon, Viraj Juneja, Lewis Gribben, Samuel Bottomley and Eddie Izzard.

The 90-minute-film opened with its premiere at South by Southwest Film Festival 2019 and afterwards received critical acclaim from various other film festivals around the globe.
