Netflix has revealed the first look for its lead actors in the upcoming series, ‘From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke’. It will star Sara Minami and Ouji Suzuka as the protagonists.
The series is based on a renowned comic ‘Kimi ni Todoke’ by Karuho Shiina. It was published in ‘Margaret Comics’ from 2006 to 2017. Furthermore, an anime, a live-action film and various games have already been made on it.
The story is a coming-of-age romantic drama and will see Sara Minami and Ouji Suzuka play Sawako Kuronuma and Shōta Kazehaya respectively.
This iteration of ‘From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke’ will feature 12 episodes which will be directed by Takehiko Shinjo (Eps. 1-3, 6-7, 11-12) and Takeo Kikuchi (Eps. 4-5, 8-10).
The show has been produced by Taku Matsumoto (TV Tokyo), Masayuki Morikawa (FINE Entertainment), Yuki Seike (FINE Entertainment) with Hayato Miyamoto responsible for the screenplay.
It will premiere globally in March 2023 on Netflix.
