‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’ returns with season 3 on Netflix

Netflix has released the full trailer for the third season of ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’, presenting behind the scenes of the 2020 championship. It will release on March 19.

The exciting docuseries is again going to document all the thrills, drama, and suspense of the Grand Prix after 2020’s COVID-19 campaign. The action packed series is going to come out in 10 parts.

After the success of the first two seasons, production company Box to Box Films even decided that the members of the production crew and staff should also be present in teams’ bubbles at races for gathering content, due to the pandemic.

Romain Grosjean’s fireball accident that happened at the Bahrain Grand Prix prominently caught a lot of attention in the trailer after which the Frenchman is seen taking part in an interview with his wife, Marion.

The trailer also showcases McLaren team-mates, Carlos Sainz Jr and Lando Norris, indulging in high jinks, Ferrari drivers being warned not to be “too funny”, and Lewis Hamilton giving a shockingly angry reaction to his Russian Grand Prix penalty.

In a statement Formula 1 said:

“In the most dramatic season to date, fans will once again be taken behind the scenes, to witness first-hand how the drivers and teams battle it out for victory in a year like no other as the ten-part series will be released on March 19 2021.

“Fans will be given unprecedented behind the scenes access to the 2020 season which saw the sport dramatically halted in Australia due to the COVID-19 pandemic and make a thrilling restart in Austria later that year. Intense battles, fierce rivalries, unexpected podiums and Lewis Hamilton’s incredible seventh world title will ensure the series is one of the most action packed yet.”
